Performance Analysis

Drawn from 3 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.

The GT Radial SportActive has a weak overall comparison record, with wet braking less competitive than dry braking in the two tests that include discipline results. It finished 47th of 50 in the 2020 Auto Bild Tire Market Overview Braking Test, in 245/45 R18. Wet braking was 39.1 m, 46th of 49 and 36.2% from best, while dry braking was 36.8 m, 39th of 49 and 14.6% behind.

The 2019 Auto Bild Summer 53 Tire Braking Shootout, in 225/45 R17, was less unfavorable at 26th of 53 overall. Dry braking placed 18th of 45, only 5.8% from best, but wet braking was 31st of 45 and 21.3% behind. That makes dry stopping a relative brighter point in that test, without establishing a consistent strength across sizes. The 2016 GTU Performance Summer Tire Test placed it 12th of 14, but adds no discipline results or tester verdict. No award is recorded. The evidence establishes a repeated wet-stopping deficit and more variable dry braking, but does not quantify handling, comfort, efficiency or wear.
