Across 31 tests, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport delivers consistently top-tier dry and wet road performance with exceptional braking and class-leading wet/dry handling, frequently placing on the podium (average overall 3.2) and earning multiple test wins. It repeatedly tops dry braking (e.g., 1/52 Autobild 2025 shootout) and dominates wet handling across sizes and vehicle types, including SUVs and EVs. Recent tests also show a notable improvement in tread life versus its historic norm.
Its recurring drawbacks are efficiency, comfort and noise, plus below-average aquaplaning margins. Rolling resistance and energy/fuel consumption are routinely among the worst, and subjective comfort/noise trail rivals. Pricing can be high. In EV-specific contexts, efficiency and wear weaknesses become more pronounced despite excellent wet control.
