The Bridgestone Blizzak LM32 has a mixed 17-test record, with dry handling its most repeated strength and aquaplaning resistance also praised. Auto Bild placed it second of 15 and rated it Exemplary in its 2012 Top 15 Winter Tire Test, then fourth of 15 and Recommended in the 2013 Top 15 Winter Tire Shootout. Those results contrast sharply with eighth of eight in the 2012 Auto Zeitung Winter Tire Test and tenth of 11 in the 2014 AZ Winter Tire Test. Snow traction varies between praise and criticism, while snow cornering drew reservations in both the 2012 Auto Bild Performance test and the 2013 shootout.
Rolling resistance is a recurring weakness, although the low resistance praised by Auto Bild in 2011 and its 2012 Performance test is unusual against the wider pattern. Dry braking is also inconsistent: the 2014 Auto Zeitung test praised it, whereas AMS in 2011 and Auto Bild in 2010 criticised stopping distances. The 2012 Auto Zeitung verdict of comparatively poor dry and wet performance is unusual beside repeated dry-handling praise. Wet-road verdicts and refinement vary too, so the stronger Auto Bild finishes do not establish consistently strong all-round performance.
