Kleber Quadraxer 3 vs Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3

Kleber's Quadraxer 3 and Pirelli's Cinturato All Season SF3 target the same all-season touring brief but with different philosophies. Kleber, a value brand under Michelin, leans into winter assurance and comfort at a keen price. Pirelli's SF3 is a premium-touring entrant tuned for balanced, sporty road manners and class-leading wet security.
Across seven shared tests in 17-18-inch sizes, Pirelli sweeps overall victories, repeatedly topping dry and wet disciplines while maintaining solid snow performance. Kleber counters with standout snow braking, low noise, lower rolling resistance, and notably stronger mileage and cost-per-km-an attractive package for budget-minded drivers in colder regions.

Real World Driver Reviews

Kleber Quadraxer 3 Driver Reviews

Drivers rate the Kleber Quadraxer 3 very highly, praising its confident winter capability (snow and ice), excellent wet grip with strong aquaplaning resistance, and a quiet, comfortable ride. Many note solid dry performance for everyday driving, good longevity, and strong value compared to premium options like Michelin CrossClimate. A few isolated reviews mention high-speed noise or less inspiring dry grip versus previous models, but these are in the minority. Overall, it's viewed as a safe, refined, and durable all-season choice.

Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 Driver Reviews

Across 44 reviews, the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 is widely praised as a top-tier all-season tire with strong dry and especially wet grip/braking, plus reassuring performance in snow for a 4-season. Many drivers also highlight low cabin noise, good comfort, predictable handling at the limit, and wear that looks encouraging for the mileage covered. The main recurring downside is inconsistent quality control reported by several users (out-of-round tires causing vibration/shimmy and warranty frustration), and a smaller but repeated theme that the tire can feel softer/less responsive than a true summer tire-particularly in warmer temperatures or when driven very sportily.

Kleber is part of the Michelin group, so it is easy to see how the technology found in the cross-climate has trickled down to this tire. I currently drive a Suzuki Vitara 2019, and the bulk of my drive is done by the wife commuting and my two big trips a year from Scotland to Italy or Poland.
Motorway driving is on par with many other tires; the wind noise coming from the car is always louder than the tires themselves, so no trouble there; you get just a wee bit less fuel efficiency overall (compared to the more expensive choice), but it is nothing to transcendental, on the dry they... Genuinely seriously impressive tire. I decided to use these as a winter tire as I live in Scotland.

In dry conditions manages to have acceptable levels of grip in a straight line, slight wheel spin sometimes but cannot complain since the M2 is RWD 365bhp.

Very strong tire in the dry and super progressive, really lets you know when it does begin to slip when doing spirited driving. A big strong point as these tires still allow the vehicle to be driven in a sporting manner.

In the wet they are okay for wet straight line grip, it spins up pretty... Continue reading this review using the link below

It feels more precise and composed, suiting drivers who value confident year-round grip and a sportier response. That breadth of ability earned it 7/7 test wins.
Kleber Quadraxer 3 shines where winter and running costs matter most. It repeatedly stops shorter on snow, runs quieter, rolls easier, and shows lower abrasion with longer projected mileage and better value scores. If your winters are frequent and you prioritize low ownership costs over ultimate wet pace, the Kleber is compelling. Otherwise, the Pirelli is the clear all-round benchmark and the safer choice in mixed, especially wet, conditions.
Key Differences
  • Safety edge in rain: Pirelli shortens wet braking by roughly 3-10% vs. Kleber across tests
  • Dry performance: Pirelli leads braking and handling, offering crisper control
  • Snow trade-off: Kleber typically stops shorter on snow; Pirelli is slightly quicker in some dynamic snow tasks
  • Aquaplaning: Pirelli holds a clear advantage in both straight and curved tests (often 5-15%)
  • Running costs: Kleber shows lower rolling resistance, better wear, and stronger value metrics
  • Noise/comfort: Both comfortable; Kleber is marginally quieter in several tests

Footnote

This page has been developed using tire industry testing best practices. This means we are only comparing tests which have had both tires in the same test.

Why is this important? Tire testing is heavily affected by things like surface grip levels and surface temperature, which means you can only compare values from the same day. During a tire test external condition changes are calculated into the overall results, but it is not possible to calculate this between tire tests performed on different days or at different locations.

As a result you will see other tests on Tire Reviews which feature both the %s and %s, but as they weren't conducted on the same day, the results are not comparable.

Lots of other websites do this sort of tire comparison, Tire Reviews doesn't.
