Where the record comes from
Only published independent tests count. A pair of tires earns a result when one test drove both on the same car, on the same day, and the tire that finished higher in that test takes the win. Two tires that each won a different test in different years have not met.
What the TR Score is
One number out of 10 for a tire's standing across every test and owner review we hold for it, weighted by how much evidence backs it. It is not the head-to-head record, which counts only the tests the two tires shared, so two tires can have close scores and a lopsided record, or the reverse.
How often it updates
Every time a test is published its results feed every comparison it touches, so a record on this page can change the day a new test lands. The most-opened list is a rolling 30-day count.
