The new Dunlop Sport BluResponse is derived from Dunlops work in motorsport, where the desire for low fuel consumption and good wear properties are starting to become as important as the raw grip of the tire. The new Dunlop Sport BluResponse comes with motorsport derived polymers, which deliver increased wet grip and performance (European label score A), yet still allow an impressively low rolling resistance to aid fuel consumption (European label score B)
Tested
When independently tested by TUV SUD against the Michelin Energy Saver+, Continental Premium Contact 5, Bridgestone Turanza T001 and Pirelli Cinturato P7, the new Dunlop tire proved to be pack leading with wet braking of up to 3 meters shorter than the average of leading premium brands, and a 3% faster performance during wet handling tests. The new Sport BluResponse also has a 30% better rolling resistance than its predecessor, the well reviewed Dunlop Sport FastResponse.Available at launch in 52 sizes over 14-17†rims, the new Dunlop Sport BluResponse should be an interesting tire to watch. As usual, we’ll be doing our own testing as soon as possible, with a full report to follow.

I have got 4 of these tires and they are manufactured 2013 47th week and all of them cracked in the middle of the gaps. Never buy anymore Dunlop tires
My car normally have the continental contact 5, after reading about these I pencilled in with local tire place. Now normally I have 88H and Dunlop has a great grading. However the garage fitted 84H & I'm still arguing with garage that wasn't what I asked for. Grading for 84H for fuel saving is 'E' where 88H is 'A'. I know I'm a Female motorists but garage told me it won't make any difference???? But not what I asked for, very frustrating.
Know your rights! Why did you even agree to drive the car away? The difference between A to E is around 15% in fuel costs.
I'm thinking to buy these tires for my VW Golf VI 1.4 122... I need very good overall and really silent tires... Will these be a good choice?
I'm looking at fitting a pair of these to the front of a mkiv Golf (205/55/16), to replace a set of Kumho KH31 HM. Are the Dunlop's a better tire? Despite the reasonable reviews I've found the Kumho's to be quite poor overall. Generally noisy, little feedback overall especially in the wet. I know the Golf is no star handling car but I'm looking for a tire that will improve on what's currently fitted without breaking the bank. I've driven a mk1 Focus with the BluResponse fitted & it felt very nice generally, but comparing the handling with a Golf is like comparing apples with bananas, as the focus is a better handling car. Any help would be appreciated!
The Dunlops have objectively tested very well (see: http://www.tirereviews.co.u... ) so we're confident they'll be a better tire than the Kumhos. Users are reporting high wear though, so they might end up being more expensive than the headline price looks.
I am having to replace 2 back tires (205/55VR16) on my fordfocus c max as soon as, the last tires I bought were DUNLOP DU SPT FAST RESP 91V, what is the difference, are this suitable for my car
As long as you're buying a pair, they'll be fine.
The difference should be more wet grip, more dry grip, better MPG and quieter / more comfortable
I have had these fitted to my focus recently. I had the fast response previously. The blurepsonse are a very good tire. Handle really well in wet and dry conditions as expected. I love Dunlop tires and will never buy anything else.

This certainly seems to be one of the quietest. Others include Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance, Conti Eco / Premium Contact 5 and Michelin Energy Saver+
Hello, I see this tire is produced in two class ratings, A/B (wet handling/consumption) and C/C. Can you please explain what's the realistic difference between the two, because here they cost almost the same? Is it some minor or major difference?

Assuming the tires are the same size and load/speed rating, you would have to speak to Dunlop to find the exact differences.
It's usually the case that they've updated the tire during its life and a tire retailer is still listing the older part they have in stock, as well as the new part

If our theory is correct, it will be the same tread pattern, but they will have improved the wet grip and rolling resistance via a compound or construction update.
I am about to replace my tires on my VW Touran 1.6 FSI. I have Michelin Primacy HP with 73000 km on it!
I am having in mind Dunlop Sport BluResponse or Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance.
What is your opinion, which is better? And may be you can sugest me better choise!?

In theory they're very similar tires, the Dunlops for steering feel, the Goodyears for comfort.

I quite fancy trying these on the front of my TVR Chimaera 205 60 15 to replace the toyos.
We wouldn't. While Dunlop is a sports brand, this is very much a touring tire with the label scores in mind, and while it might be a little sharper than some of it's rivals, we suspect it will still feel very slow and clunky to steer on a car like a Chimaera.

I need to replace the 205/55/16 non run flats on my BMW soon, currently have Falken 914's on but they've worn really badly. I may be swapping the car soon so looking for a cheaper premium tire and these look ideal - Question is being new do you know what the wear's like?

I am thinking of using these tires on my Opel Astra 1,6 T ,180hp '07.What is your opinion?The size is 205/55/R16.
We think these are an excellent all round tire, and assuming you can get the correct size and load ratings should suit your Astra well.
Hi! I'm looking for a new set of a good sport tires to size 195/55 R16. Sadly there isn't to much choice of sport tires to this size. I have only find the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A. Could this be better than the RE050A? This is a touring tire, not a sport tire, but the overall performance its better.
For most purposes we'd consider this tire a better tire than the RE050A, which is a very old pattern now.
