Ford Maverick Tire Review Highlights
Sitting at about 10k miles on a set in 225/65r17 on my 2023 Ford Maverick 2.0 AWD. So far, they've been what you'd expect from a milder all-terrain tire on pavement. They're quiet, smooth, and fuel efficient. Nothing to complain about, but also nothing remarkable. They do well in wet handling, but the compound definitely struggles a bit on slicker asphalt if it's really coming down and it's chilly out. Braking in both dry and wet is very good. It's nearly impossible to get ABS going, unless you do something ridiculous like slam the brakes in the middle of a hard corner. As far as cornering goes, they're nothing special and don't really communicate much, but you will know exactly where the limit is. Even pushing past the limit of grip, it's a very smooth and correctable transition. For snow handling, braking and handling is a little hairy at times, but I've found that to be a norm with most long tread life all terrain tires. However, the dry and wet smooth predicable handling translates quite well in the snow and makes it very fun to drive if you're interested in getting sideways. Overall, this tire looks great, performs well, and 31mpg US on the highway is very achievable with my Maverick on these tires. I will likely buy another set as comparable tires are significantly more expensive in my region.
