Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tire tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Based on 25 user reviews

Drivers generally find the Rovelo Sport A1 to deliver strong value, with many high-scoring reviews praising its good dry and wet grip for the price and acceptable day-to-day comfort. Most users consider it a dependable budget option for normal driving, though performance isn't on par with premium brands when pushed hard. Overall sentiment is moderately positive with budget-focused strengths and a few trade-offs.

I've been using these same tires since 2021, so good in grip and last..just mild wear..that not enough? I'm a runner..going back and forth from Ipoh-Klang Valley-KL..its quite noisy but I don't mind coz they said this is performance tire but still comfortable for long distance and duration drive (pro tip:don't turn too much during stationary if you want it to last longer it scratch quite easily)

30k km on the clock, this tire wears significantly fast, abrasion is obvious even the tread wear rating is A and tread is 340. Very noisy on the road and uncomfortable drive all times. While dry grip is ok, on wet it’s not that impressive and you shouldn’t compare it with any good brand out there.
The tire looks very dry after 3 years of driving which you can’t find on other tires.
Not an aggressive driver and mostly in town.
If you are trying to save on cost buying budget tire like this, you will end up spending more buying new tires faster than you can imagine, if you care for your safety of course.
I don’t believe that the rubber compound is of a good quality at all.
I definitely won’t buy this tire aging and I don’t advise anyone to buy it, you get what you pay for getting such a cheap tire, risking your own safety and your family safety.

Been using it for 2.5years, cover 40,000+km, value for money. Can feel that the car was not that planted to the road compare with stock tire which is 225/40/18, overall the dry and wet grip is consider good.

Bought my car that came fitted with rovelo A1. Were doubtful at first as never used and unheard of. After using i find it very good enough for the price one is paying. Don't drive too fast and find it great for city driving. The downside for me is the treadware as it seems to wear off a lilttle too fast to my liking. The other is suspected aquaflying during wet so be careful not to go too fast during wet days. Other then that, will definitely repurchase and recommend to others which are into normal driving with very affordable price and performance. Cheers

Given 80% while driving a Kia Motors Kia Optima K5 (215/55 R17) on mostly town for 5,000 average miles
I had one of these fitted due to an unrepairable original tire. Old stock so the tire looks tarnished and had untrimmed rubber around the edges. For a budget tire these are acceptable to fit but don't look attractive even with the sidewalls armouralled.

Very good dry and wet grip.. Perform good with my 6 piston calipers big brake kit.. But the tire quite noisy and the life is average.

Given 38% while driving a Lexus IS200 F SPORT (245/35 R19) on a combination of roads for 2,000 average miles
I guess you get what you pay for, these have a terrible sidewall and as such cause the car to track all over the place, especially under braking. Easily aquaplanes at 100km/hr and the feedback is quite dead. I have them on the front of my Lexus IS250 which is not a powerful car but I'll be changing them before long as they aren't very safe.

I didn't expect too much for this budget cheap tire but after using it for a year i think this is one of the best budget tire available in the market. Driving in wet road conditions with confidence and feel better than any mid range branded tire.
