The Nankang NS2 finished near the bottom of both its independent test fields, with wet braking the repeated weakness. In Auto Bild's 2020 Tire Market Overview Braking Test it was 46th of 50 overall, and wet braking ranked 44th of 49 at 38.2 meters, 33.1% longer than best. Auto Bild Sportscars' 2012 20 inch test also criticised very long wet stops and placed it seventh of eight overall. The two tests therefore point in the same direction despite using different sizes.
Dry braking was less far behind in 2020 but still below most competitors, 35th of 49 at 36.5 meters, 13.7% longer than best. The 2012 test also found wet understeer, reduced steering precision, high noise and poor comfort. Its one identified strength was low rolling resistance in that earlier comparison. There are no measured efficiency results or detailed handling times to quantify that advantage, and neither test establishes a broader dry-performance strength. The clearest conclusion is weak wet stopping alongside several refinement and handling compromises.
