2026 Autobild Summer Tire Test P18 of 20

The Maxxis Victra Sport 6 finishes eighteenth with competitive dry braking and a low purchase price. However, wet handling is rated as imprecise, with vague behavior reducing confidence in wet cornering. Tread wear is high - one of the highest in the test - which contributes to an elevated cost-per-km figure and limits the value proposition of the low upfront price.

Weak: Subj. Wet Handling, Wet Circle, Straight Aqua, Curved Aquaplaning, Abrasion Winner: Hankook Ventus Evo

Performance Analysis

Drawn from 3 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Maxxis Victra Sport 6's most consistent positive is its dry handling feel, although it has not matched the leading tires overall. Auto Bild placed it 18th of 20 in its 2026 full summer test, with sixth-fastest dry handling and a third-place subjective rating. EVO's test titled 2025 Summer Tire Test placed it seventh of nine against a predominantly premium field, praising accurate, adjustable dry behavior despite a seventh-place lap. It also recorded second-lowest rolling resistance and a joint-third road score there. Auto Bild's 2026 braking qualifier was more favorable overall at 15th of 50.

Aquaplaning is the clearest repeated weakness, last in straight-line testing with Auto Bild and last in both disciplines with EVO. Wet handling was 18th of 20 and the wet circle last with Auto Bild, which found vague, spongy responses. EVO's favorable comments on wet balance were unusual beside that verdict, though its lap was still seventh of nine. Refinement also differed, with EVO's quiet, comfortable road assessment contrasting with Auto Bild's 18th-place comfort score. Auto Bild projected only 39,670 km, 18th of 20, and recorded second-highest abrasion. Its low purchase price therefore did not guarantee low running costs.

2025 EVO Summer Tire Test

EVO 235/35 R19

The Maxxis Victra Sport 6 picks up where its predecessor left off, with mostly decent performances across the board, but fails to break into the top half against such a quality field. Its star performances were in rolling resistance and the road route, where its refinement earned joint third place. On the wet handling circuit, while it lacked the outright grip of the best, it did everything right with superb traction and a useful dynamic balance. It found a settled poise to tackle tricky infield sweeps confidently and offered useful fine adjustment via the throttle to tailor lines precisely elsewhere – it just lacked the bite to climb higher. In the dry it was arguably more impressive, feeling really confident: poised, grippy and accurate, locking onto late clipping points from a long way out, accepting the hustle and providing useful adjustability. It rolled quietly over rough surfaces and took the sting out of ridges. A good tire that found itself up against a whole heap of excellent tires.
