Hifly HF201 Owner Reviews

Review this tire

What owners say summarised from 35 reviews

Driver feedback on the Hifly HF201 is mixed but skews negative overall, with many reporting poor grip (especially in the wet), vague handling, and a lack of confidence that makes the tire feel unsafe. A significant portion also complain about vibration/shake and difficulty balancing, sometimes linked to out-of-round tires or apparent build-quality issues. Higher-scoring reviews tend to praise the HF201 as a good-value budget tire that can be quiet and comfortable with acceptable grip and wear when driven moderately, but these positive experiences are in the minority versus the safety and refinement complaints.

Stay clear of this brand. Bought 4 of these tires for my car and learnt a costly mistake. Tires were out of shape and they also ran out laterally which caused the car to shake terribly at 100kmh.

I didn't actually choose these tires they were fitted prior to me picking up the car A6 3.0 quattro They are shocking i had the balance checked they were so bad. The car actually vibrates. They are useless under anything but mild driving. Definitely designed for low powered light cars. Took them off fitted pirelli. Totally different car now. Leave them alone the pirelli were only £50 dearer a pair

These would have to be the worst tire I have ever had. The road noise and vibration is like driving on off road 4 wheel drive tires. Even had to check wheel bearings to see the noise wasn't coming from them. Put on a set of half worn tires from a friends car and the problems dissapeared straight away. Put my wheels on his car and it had the same issue. I don't know how people can sell these and tell you they are a good tire and great value for money. Should be a crime to sell them. Tire shop didn't want to know about them . They have done approx 4,000 Kim's and will never get to do anymore on my car . Avoid them like the plague

I got these on the rear when I bought my MX5-NB, but overall ride is superbumpy, unpredictable, sideways into third gear on wet and they feel sketchy. With still enough thread on them, I am replacing them with Michelin Pilotsport 3, as I want my girlfriend to also be alle to drive the car without ending up in a ditch.

I tried two on the front of my SUV and was so impressed I put two more on the back. I had a reputable brand on before and the difference was surprising. The drive was immediately quieter and smoother. I cornered sharply on some of my normal routes and the car stuck to the road in silence where my old tires would howl at me. Wet weather too they perform very well. Most impressed and happy.

Brilliant low cost tires. Cheap does not always mean nasty. Not sure what drugs half of these reviewers are on. Onto my second set after 51000 trouble free kms on my last lot. Great grip and driver feedback. Keep your alignments and rotations done every 10.000 and these tires last the distance! Pretty low noise on most surfaces too.

We found HIFLY tires for our Hyundai I 10 very good buy as we do a lot of mileage. We are both retired and travel all over. Had Khumo before but could not afford them.We are very happy with our HIFLY HF 201 tires.

These tires are nothing short of deadly. Had to replace after 2000 miles as they were far too dangerous. Wet and dry handling left major control problems. Almost spun on a roundabout. Tire squeel when general cornering which is totally unacceptable. Horrendous road noise to the point I had to shout to passengers to hear them, and I'm not joking! The loud humming noise and drone left me fatigued. Swapped them out for Uniroyal Rainsport. Unbelievable difference. Quiet, loads of grip. If I could give these abhorrent tires a minus 10 I would.

Fitted these tires to my vehicle as I was intending to replace it soon, the Hankook tires that were fitted were coming to the end of their usable life. As I had not intend keeping the car much longer I did not want to spend to much on tires, this was a huge mistake compared to the original fitment tires the Hifly H201's were awful they were compromised in all areas of driving both in the Dry and the Wet, I live in the valleys of south wales where we get more than our fair share of rain if there was anymore than a light shower I lost all confidence the tires were dangerous in wet conditions especially under braking taking considerably more distance to stop than the Hankook I cannot find any redeeming qualities to these tires and although very cheap they are a false economy. Also they appeared to be wearing much quicker.

Very good tire for my kind of driving.... a mixture of town and motorway,,, about 12000 miles per annum. good in wet and dry conditions and very smooth with little road noise... have 10000 miles on them and they show about half worn... they are very well priced and would buy again at the price...
