Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance Reviews - Page 17

Given 74% while driving a Skoda Octavia estate (205/60 R15 V) on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
Love performance with these tires and they feel safe too. Good handling. I do worry about the side-walls though and I have had a number of punctures/side wall failures with/without pot holes so will consider another tire now.

Added a pair to the front to replace Conti Eco Contact 5s which were down to 1.6 mm after just 15000 miles (9 months wear for me). Immediate improvement all round. The contis were safe, predictable, but had dull steering response. These are very quiet, roll well, feel very safe, particularly in wet and when cornering sharply, and unlike the dull steering response of the contis, these are great, giving good feel and they turn in really well. Just hoping they wear well. If they do they will definitely be the best value tire I have had.

Good Tire new for 2013. Great price one of the cheapest of the premium brands on the market when i purchased these. Great handling and holding in wet and dry also great EU performance figures.
Have these on my seven seater great grip stopping and pulling away.

Given 92% while driving a Ford S Max (225/50 R17 W) on mostly motorways for 1,000 average miles
These are superb tires and have transformed the ford s-max which came on continental SSR2 run flats. The ride is sublime now ( was previously jittery and bouncy) and the reduction in road noise is staggering. In addition there has been a definite improvement in fuel consumption with the car going 50+ miles more on a tank. Wet grip is great especially on soaked motorways where the car feels sure footed. Only slight downside is slightly less steering feel, but then tires are geared for comfort. Can't comment on wear as only done 1000 miles so far.
Will buy again.

Given 41% while driving a Ford Mondeo 1.6 TDCi (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
Gand tire in the dry but shocking in the wet , driving 4000km a month and have no option but to use these as the are on a fleet vihicle. Taking off wheels spin, slides at roundabouts- worst tire I've used in years of driving

Given 94% while driving a Audi A3 2.0 TDI 140 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 500 average miles
GY Eff Grip Performance have to be the best tires available. Swapped from GY Asimmetric 2, which win lots of best on test, but are as good as Efficient Grip Performance. The Asi 2s lean in cornering, where as these are really sturdy. I can't comment on Progressiveness, or taking tires to limits of grip, as I use within their performance limits.

Given 96% while driving a Audi A3 (195/65 R15 H) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
Excellent tires. I replaced my front Yokohama C Drive 2's with these and was gobsmacked by the immediate improvement. On a drive up to Edinburgh, through mixed weather conditions, I found them to be almost silent. The grip in the wet is the best I have ever experienced, even compared to more specialist rain tires such as Uniroyals. The braking performance is exemplary in the wet and the dry and while I've pushed them a little bit, they've always had tremendous levels of grip. I bought these after failing to find any Vredestein Sportrac 5 tires locally but I have to say I'm glad I found them and I wouldn't hesitate to get them again.

Given 100% while driving a Renault Scenic (205/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 3,000 average miles
I would say that these are probably the best tire money can buy at the moment for normal UK driving conditions, excellent wet & dry grip on braking and cornering. Comfortable and good fuel economy plus low noise. Done about 3000 miles with them, combined urban & motorway- rears show little sign of wear, front maybe 1mm. I paid £62.50/tire after a fuel voucher offer from an on-line company, fitted at my workplace.

Given 86% while driving a Fiat Panda (185/55 R15 T) on a combination of roads for 3,000 easy going miles
Mounted on a 2013 Fiat Panda 1.2 69cv.
At first, they slided a bit, the car didn't break straight, it oversteered when braking in corners and understeered when accelerating and lost a bit of traction. After a few kms, that all improved. Now the cars goes "on rails". Both on dry and wet, the tires feel really good, you know exactly what is happening between the wheels and the road, and feel how much grip still you have. Also, they are very progressive and sinlent when sliding, the car brakes strong and straight, and it's impossible to move the rear on corners.
The tires are not too noisy. About the wear, I haven't done too many miles so to have a good opinion.

Given 94% while driving a Lexus IS250SE (225/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 21,240 average miles
By far the best tires I have had. Just changed from Dunlop Sport Maxx Rt and prior to these Falken ze914. The Goodyear efficientgrip performance are just so so quiet and very comfortable. I have also seen an improvement in economy. I commute many miles daily and sometimes have a heavy right foot and these have never let me down. I would recommend these to anyone.

Given 93% while driving a SEAT Toledo (215/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 800 average miles
I'm using these tires during this summer and have a very good experience.
My previous tires were Michelin HP primacy and was impressed that it's best tires. But goodyear EfficientGrip Perfomance shows less noisy, more soft and more stable on wet road.
