Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tire tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 57% while driving a Kia Motors Cerato 2019 (205/55 R16) on a combination of roads for 22,000 average miles
This is an end of tire live review. I drove a Kia Cerato 1.6L Naturally Aspirated in Singapore. Current mileage done on the tire is about 36000 KM. All my 4 tires has uneven wear despite every 10k KM tire rotation. What is worse is one of the tire has excessive outer wear while another has excessive inner tire wear. at 36k KM, 3 of the tire has less than 1mm left to the legal limit of 1.6mm tread depth. The tires has performed to its requirement which is loss noisy and confident wet handling and braking. at S$75 a piece, I would say it is a pretty good deal but I believe you can get a better lasting tire at around the price without sacrificing the wet performance.

Given 57% while driving a Toyota Camry (215/55 R17) on for 24,000 miles
Immediately off the shelf, I can already hear noise from the rolling brand new tires once installed. The only thing I found satisfactory was how the road bumps were dampen. But the noise was not what I was satisfied with, given that I drive a hybrid ride which is quieter than the usual petrol car. Fuel consumption didn't improve from my previous set of Westlake tires. So I reckon the rolling resistance is not any better.

Given 77% while driving a Volkswagen Mk6 Golf 1.4 TSI (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,500 average miles
Used these tires for about 4000 KM. Dry grip is good but it’s not a performance tire for sure. Wet grip is sufficient even during thunderstorms so long as you drive sensibly. The price is the main advantage these tires have over its competitors. They aren’t expensive however you get what you paid for and the trade off is that these tires are not as fuel efficient or silent as the more premium branded summer touring tires.
