Over the years I have paid £175 for similar sized Yokohama or Falcon tires and I simply can't see any difference in performance or wear.
At £55 a tire online for 19" tires you simply can't go wrong. Dealers quoting about £85. Icant believe some of the reviews on here as I've nothing bad to say about them.
I have used Accelera PHI on my 2008 BMW 730 for over 2 years. I do 15,000 a year and am about to put my third set on the front. The rears had the 2nd set about 6 months ago. They are good for 12-15k miles, just the same as the top end tires. I drive at legal speeds (Mostly) but the tires are fine at high speeds and when flooring it.
I've been driving for 20 years, and have always gone for Mid Range Tires as I thought this was a sensible compromise. But I will always buy these tires going forward. Win Win all round.
I bought these tires for all four wheels they are super cheep compared to the ones I replaced and they are amazingly good I will definitely buy again.
the Bridgestone tires was replaced with Accelera PHI and they perform better in everyway.
all these people that are calling them ditchfinders most be going past the capability of the tires which you can do with any tire.

For the price this is a good tire. In the dry grip is equivalent premium brands, however the lack of feedback and occasional slides in the wet do not encourage you to push your luck in the rain/standing water. I believe in a magazine test the tire showed inferior (longer) braking distances in the wet but it is very difficult to tell this in reality.
For the average driver these are adequate and at the price they are good value.
The rubber must be quite a hard compound as tire wear has been slow.

I have just come to the end of my second set of these tires. I find them comfortable, the handling is good, they grip well but not quite as good as the Michelin Sport my car came fitted with. Especially in the wet the Accelera tires can't match the Michelin. But the Accelera are 47 quid a tire against 229 for the Michelin! On top of that I get 22000 miles out of the front tires compared to only 12000 for the Michelin. On the rear the figures are 30000 compared to 16000!! So a tire that last twice as long and is 4 times cheaper can not be argued with! I drive a Citroen DS4 2.0 HDI 160 and have found these tires very good. I have never been in a dangerous situation as other reviews have made out. Yes they can spin a bit if I put my foot down but that is down to the torque my engine produces, not because the tires are not grippy. I drive B and A roads mainly and do 22000 miles a year. My driving style is average and stick to the national speed limits. I would highly recommend these tires if you're looking for a good looking, comfortable, cheap tire that lasts well! If you're a speed devil then these tires are probably not for you!!!
I purchased 2 of these as an expirement because I had to run some stretch on my rears due to my low offset rims. I rather try out some cheap tires than expirement with some Nitto Invos and trash those. I was pleased when I first got them. They have good grip on dry surfaces. But once they get wet, they are SCARY! Worst grip on a wet toad I have ever experienced. I live in central Texas, and it's been raining quite a bit as of late. If you live in desert areas like Phoenix or Las Vegas, I would probably recommend this tire since it doesn't rain much there. But if you live in areas where you actually get rain, stay away from these. I've had my butt puckered a few times on these.
Normally I wouldn't bother giving an opinion on anything unless there is a serious problem. Well these tires have a serious problem, after a recent tire check I found one tire had lost some pressure so went to servo to pump tire up it was then that I noticed what looked like a cut had been placed around the outer circumference of the tire. On closer inspection on all four tires we found that all the tires had the same cut mark,
The cut mark turned out to be a crack around the outside rim of the tire just under where the tread starts there seems to be a rubber protrusion just at the edge of the crack, it is about 1mm x1mm and all four tires have cracked at this same exact point and from a quick glance It is nearly unnoticeable and that is from the outside so from the inside of the wheel on the car you would not see it at all.
What was evident on closer inspection was that the crack line was clean as in the outside of the tire was dirty from road grime but inside the crack it was just like new rubber been cut with a knife ( my first thoughts but it is just too neat it would have to be done on a machine or a design fault.)
These cracks appeared over a three week period I am guessing and are as much as 6-8mm deep. My opinion is these tires are a death trap just waiting to happen and I could not sleep at night if I didn't say something to someone.
Please someone look into the manufacturer of these tires and save some lives.........please
I am from Australia and from what I can gather they have no warranty here and that would not help the people that were killed when one of these tires let go!!! They are load and speed rated and apparently meet Aussie standards....??? What is wrong with this world.
Absolutely rubbish! Been on just over a year and have already cracked all the way around the rims on every tire. Living on the traction control on wet roundabouts in THIRD gear!!! AVOID THESE TRYES AT ALL COSTS! You will kick yourself if you put these on anything heavier than pushbike! Vague to zero feedback from the tires in the dry. Swapping them for Michelin latitudes before the end of the week!
I've a rear wheel drive V6 and these tires are average in the dry and a complete waste in the wet.
They came already fitted to the car, so thought I'd give them a go. Jut ordered some Pirelli as I'm so unimpressed.
They don't age well, they have gone a dull rubber look after only a couple of months (about 3000 miles), so they spoil the look of the car. (yes I clean and detail).
In the dry, they're ok. Not great, but ok.
In the wet they're a complete nightmare. Having a torque'y rear wheel drive car means you have to slow right down. I have to go slower than 1 liter Micra exiting a roundabout, they offer no grip at all on a damp road. The traction control light is constantly on, even when in safe mode.
these tires would suit a company car on a commuter route. They'll do the job at a great price, so for those drivers and aspects I would recommend.
For a car with any grunt or even any rear wheel drive car I would avoid like the plague in the UK. They're not for twisty roads, roundabouts or even a hint of moisture
The varied reviews on the this tire are insane. Some calling them dangerous to the best tire ever driven on to date. My review is based on driving at legal speeds. Average 80 to 120kph.
On my Irish dry roads, the car handles well and confortable giving good feed back steering through the corners and braking. In heavy rain, I slowed down and again the tires are fine. On greasy wet main roads, the tires were giddy accelerating away from lights, fighting for grip as I put my foot down. So if you don't want spin - don't race! Once I adjusted my driving style to the tires, they were acceptable.
In summary, my view is that once these tires are that driven legally, they are good for the money on a family car driving safely. Its like the Top Gear corner Follow Through - different cars and drivers can go at different speeds. (Bring back the old Guys!) But if I had the money and did my research and wanted to enjoy the full potential of my car and all its power, I would go for the drivers tire- Michelin Pilot Sport 4. If I want to maximise fuel economy and long life I'd drive on the Michelin Primacy 3. Both the same price, but different handling qualities. In my view, Mid range brands are just made to suit peoples budgets.
For the money these are great tires. I think the best budgets around. In the dry they are very good, with comparable grip levels to my previous kumho ku39's. They also have great rim protection, far better than the kumho's, I was shocked!
As others have said they aren't good in the wet, not at all. Now if you drive slowly in the rain like I do then these tires are more than safe, however if you do fancy giving it a bit you will find these instantly slip (atleast they do in my rear drive 330d). But that's not a problem for me, as I drive cautiously when the roads are wet.
Other little niggle are the sidewalls. They are soft and you can feel the tires flexing under hard acceleration, its not massively bad, but noticeable.
These are great tires considering these were half the price of the kumhos, Wear seems good too.

There was nothing they can help me with and that those tires have no warranty
So now im here ready to sew accelera and my ford dealership (gosch ford temecula ca) all together
If u want to be safe do not buy these tires a bycicle tire wuldve lasted longer!!

First off I'd like to mention I am trying these tires out as an experiment to see if I really need to spend a lot of money on Pilot Super Sports. The Bridgestone re050a 205/40/17 that came stock on my car were very grippy. I exceeded .95 G's in a few very nice roads here in California. I have had those replaced while they were still in good shape. They had 4000 miles on them of mixed driving with 8/32 of wear on fronts and 10/32 on the backs. I do not wish to ruin them on my daily drive. So that is where the Accelera Phi-R comes into play. The tread wear is 400 so they will take the beating for the time being. I took them up GMR (Glendora Mountain Road) which was beautiful for a drive 85* f and absolutely no one in my way. The Phi-R tires are a little slower to respond then the stock re050a. They are also much quieter in a straight line! More comfortable too giving it that heavy car plushness. But around corners they grip, communicate, and rip! Easily pushing .9+ G's in some hairpins. They get louder the harder you corner and I could not seem to break them loose. There was a faint hint or under steer in the first couple corners because they were brand new and the mold release was still covering them. After that they were fantastic and had no off characteristics. So in short they are UHP tires, not a MP tire. Nicer ride, but slower to respond. Better wear life, but unnoticeable reduction in grip. I will be taking this car with these tires for a 300+ mile trip up the California coast on PCH and will come back to make better correction of these notes.
