It is a very nice Tire in Front and Back. You get much feedback of both tires, my technique is to undercut a curve, with nearly 150Nm very nice to drive.
In all likelihood, the tire is capable of more than I dare to attempt. So far, it has performed perfectly in every situation.

Extreme Performance tires are the fastest tires regularly driven to the circuit rather than trailered: near-slick levels of dry grip with just enough civility for the journey there. They give up wet performance, wear and comfort to get it.
Summer tires use compounds that work best in warm conditions, giving the strongest wet and dry grip of any season category when temperatures are mild or hot. Their performance falls away in the cold, which is where winter and all season tires take over.

These tires came OEM fitted to my R9. On a dry, warm day, they provide reasonable grip and feedback. The carcass is hard and so comfort is clearly a second thought.
In the wet and/or cold, these tires are dreadful. The bike has a much higher tolerance for bends and leaning that these tires permit in the dry. In the cold grip all but disappears until the tires are very warm. They are prone to very sudden and unexpected loss of traction, with no warning beforehand, in both wet and warm conditions, and cold conditions generally.
Overall, I won’t be refitting these tires and am likely to change them well before they reach their wear limit just to bring me confidence in the bike.
Already fitted to a 2015 Ducati Monster 821 as part of the sale, the incredible handling of the bike and nimble chassis go without saying, but I was quite impressed with the grip and performance of the Dunlops. Front shows little sign of wear and with the low price of 180/55 thought it made sense to replace it and keep an all dunlop matched set. In all the time I've ridden the qualifier core it only stepped out of line once and that was under heavy deceleration with the rear brake also applied. Took it right to the edge with confidence, maybe it's a millimeter or two shy in places, but it gripped well under heavy acceleration and never felt like it was about to lose grip even with an acute lean angle.
Great sports tire in the hot summer months, not for the winter months or rough road cornering in the wet, lasted very well should see 4000 or more miles before change, i am not sure best tire for 1200 speed twin RS may be wasted on my style of riding..
The Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 is a top-tier street tire designed for aggressive riding and occasional track use. I love ride it on dry road, the grip is outstanding. But I don't like it on wet road.. its slightly sliding. If you overpower, it will overshot in corners.
I’ve had these on my 2011 Mazda 3 MPS Luxury for just over 3 years and have done roughly **55,000 km** on them.
Even now, they still have usable life left. The only reason I’m replacing them is because the **inside shoulders are worn down close to the belts due to a bad alignment / rotation issue**. If that hadn’t happened, I genuinely think I would have seen **another 10,000 km** out of them.
For a car like mine, that’s impressive. It’s running around **215 kW**, which is above stock, on **factory 18-inch wheels and stock suspension**, so I expected it to chew through tires a lot faster than it did.
What impressed me most is that **even near the end of their life, they still grip extremely well**. Dry grip has stayed strong, wet grip has remained confidence-inspiring, and they still corner very well. They are starting to feel a little looser now as they’ve aged and worn down, but even in that condition they still put the power down far better than I expected.
I’ve run a range of premium tires on this car over the years, and honestly these are **probably the best all-round tires I’ve had on it**. Excellent grip, very predictable handling, surprisingly strong wear, and they held up far better than I expected on a tuned MPS.
The only downside is comfort — they’re not the quietest or softest tire — but for the balance of grip, handling, and longevity, I’d absolutely buy them again.
If Pirelli still made these and they were easy to get, I’d happily run another set.

BrilIant tire on a dry summer's day, poor on a cold damp winter morning also easy to step out on rough damp tarmac under acceleration when exiting corners, very pressure sensitive. Keep for the warmer months and they are hard to beat.
