In this test I'll be comparing 7 of the most popular ultra high performance all season tires to find out which tire is best for you.
If you've read any of my previous all season tests, you'll be happy to know that six of the tires in this test I've never tested before, and they include the brand new Pirelli P Zero AS 3 Plus and the brand new Falken Azenis FK460AS. The tire I have tested before is one of the benchmarks of the segment, the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+, so if you want to, you'll have a cross reference points to compare the tires in this test to the tires in the previous tests.
As always I'll be digging into the dry, wet, comfort and noise performance of the tires, then in a later test I'll be looking at the snow performance, to give you a really complete overview of the tires performances.
This is the most in depth tire test Tire Reviews has ever performed! This UHP summer tire test will compare six of the very best ultra high performance tires, and including a full wear test, some cooler temperature testing, and worn state testing!
On test we have the latest and greatest 18" sports tires from Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear, Hankook, Michelin and Yokohama. Times are hard, and now more so than ever people are asking me what the best budget tire they can buy is. As these have never been tested against each other properly, I usually don't have an answer, but all that is about to change!
Sadly I've not been able to test every budget available, there are literally hundreds of tire brands coming out of the far east, most of them from just a handful of factories. In fact, I've got over 300 tire brands on the tire reviews website, and as much as I love big tests, even that's too much for me.
Instead, I've bought eight of the most common and cheapest tires available I could find, and because I've never tested a retread tire, I bought one of those too. Naturally they'll all be going through a full tire reviews tire test to see which is best.
In this test, we'll be finding out what the best premium touring summer tires on the market are!
I'm going to try and keep this as condensed as I possibly can as we have 13 sets of tires in this test including the newest and best from Continental, Michelin, Hankook, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Vredestein, Kumho, Toyo, Nankang and more! This should also be the world's first test of the Continental PremiumContact 7!
In this mini test I compare the plus version of the best ultra high performance all season tires on the market, the Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS+, the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus, the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 and the Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus in the dry, wet and snow to see which is the best tire overall! Can the current champion, the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 retain it's lead? Only one way to find out!
Snow tires, studless friction tires, extreme winter tires, nordic winter tires. This category of tire goes by many names, and they have one design goal, to be the very best on snow and ice for harsh winter climates, where studded tires aren't appropriate, or for people who don't want studs.
To find out which is the best, Tire Reviews has taken 7 of the most popular tires available to both the North American and Nordic markets, and will be putting them through a full range of tests, including ice, snow, wet and dry testing to find out which is best at what. Also, to help you understand where these tires fit in the market, I'm also including the very best of the central european and studded winter tires, the Continental WinterContact TS870 and the studded Nokian Happapelliita 10.

All season tires are trying to be one tire for every situation, but as we know no tire can excel in every category, meaning tire manufacturers often take away from one area to be better in another.

Basically, everything you'll ever need to know about these all terrain tires!
The Michelin Pilot Sport 5 is new to market, but so is its main rival, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6!

It doesn't take much to make me happy, but a Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE at Nelson Ledges with five sets of tires ranging from treadwear 300 to treadwear 100... well that's a very easy place to be happy.
The reason for this test was to see if a lower treadwear value, which is a number the American Uniform Tire Quality Grade (UTQG) standards body assign to a tire based on a basic wear test, really does mean more grip, but it turned out to be a fascinating insight into some of the big hitting tires used on track in North America.
