The Chinese Triangle tire boasts in its marketing that it was developed in Finland. Despite this, it has an unusually hard rubber compound with poor winter grip. On icy curves, it loses grip at the front without warning, causing the car to understeer heavily without the driver being able to do anything. Across the ice and snow subtests, the grip level is on par with the used tire in this comparison. In the tests on bare ground, Triangle performs somewhat better compared to the competition, but it never manages to leave the lower half of the results. Disturbing road noise solidifies an already certain last place among the new tires. In fact, the points are not even enough to beat the eight-year-old wildcard entry. It ends up in a shared last place.

The Triangle Snowlink PL01 finished seventh of eight in the 2023 Vi Bilagare Studless Friction Winter Tire Test, with the tester describing poor winter grip and abrupt loss of front grip on ice. Snow traction ranked eighth, 5.4% behind the best, and snow handling seventh, 5.8% behind. Ice braking, traction and handling were all seventh, with braking 15.2% and traction 25.3% behind the best. The tester was particularly critical of heavy understeer on icy bends without useful warning. These are results in this studless friction comparison, rather than proof of its position across other winter tire fields.

Bare-road performance was less weak, but did not establish a clear strength. Dry braking ranked fourth of eight, 3.9% behind the best, while wet braking was seventh, 12.4% behind. Wet handling and straight-line aquaplaning were fifth, and the tester said bare-road performance remained in the lower half. Noise was fifth on measurement, only 0.8% behind the best, yet was still described as disturbing. Fuel consumption was sixth, 6.3% behind. This single test gives a consistently critical winter assessment, with dry braking a relative high point and little support for a broader advantage.
