The Pirelli PZero Rosso finished sixth of nine in the 2013 Auto Review performance summer test in 225/45 R17. Testers praised wet and dry handling, wet grip and resistance to aquaplaning, describing good lateral grip and a sporty feel. They also found it fairly quiet for a sports tire.
Long dry braking distances and high rolling resistance were the principal drawbacks. This is a single test without individual distances or discipline rankings, so the findings support a contrast between cornering ability and dry stopping performance rather than a consistent pattern across sizes or years.
