The Michelin Primacy 5 Energy has one test here, DEKRA's 2025 wear comparison of eight touring and EV tires in 215/55 R18 on a Volkswagen ID.3. It lost the least rubber, with abrasion measured at 1,194 g, and its projected mileage was 39,000 km. That placed it second of eight for predicted life, 1.5% behind the best. The testers described it as one of the two longest-wearing tires, alongside the standard Primacy 5.
DEKRA states that Michelin commissioned this comparison. The slightly longer projected life of the standard Primacy 5 is a small qualification to the favorable wear result, rather than evidence of poor longevity. This was a wear-only exercise: it does not establish wet or dry grip, braking, handling, noise, comfort or energy consumption, and there are no other tests here with which to assess consistency.
Strong = top two of the field in that measurement. Weak = bottom two.
