Performance Analysis
Drawn from 3 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.
The Maxtrek TREK M7 finished near the bottom in all three recorded Auto Bild winter comparisons. It was 50th of 52 in the 2018 51 Winter Tire Shootout, in 195/65 R15, last of 50 in the 2017 50 Winter Tire Shoot Out, and 48th of 49 in the 2014 50 Winter Tire Braking Overview, both in 225/50 R17. The consistently low overall positions give little support for competitive performance in these fields.
The 2017 and 2018 comparisons began with wet braking, with only the better performers proceeding to snow braking. However, no individual discipline distances, margins or positions are recorded here, so the overall results cannot establish specific snow, ice or handling weaknesses. No tester comments or awards are recorded either. The evidence supports a poor overall comparison record, but is too limited to identify a strongest discipline or quantify the stopping-distance deficit.
