Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Linglong Green Max Winter Grip 2 finished first of three Central European winter tires in the 2020 Test World comparison in 205/55 R16. Its results must be judged within that small class. Dry braking was shortest at 29.5 meters, and snow braking also led the class at 50.9 meters. Ice braking, traction and handling were first within the class too, while testers praised short ice stops and balanced snow behavior. Subjective snow handling was first, with the timed lap second, 1.6% behind the class best.

The main compromises were slow dry steering response, high rolling resistance and uneven ride quality. Wet braking was second of three at 37.3 meters, 14.8% longer than the class best. Wet handling illustrates the difference between pace and feel: it had the fastest lap within the class but the lowest subjective rating. Testers also called ice handling average, despite its class-leading result, so that placing should not be read as a broad claim about ice ability against other winter types. This single test shows useful braking and snow balance within a small Central European field, with clear reservations about steering, comfort and efficiency.
