2025 Autozurnal Winter Tire Test P4 of 7

The Lassa Competus Winter 2+ earned fourth place overall, with its most impressive results occurring in wet conditions. It was the second-best tire in the wet category, achieving a second-place finish in longitudinal aquaplaning and third-place results in wet braking and handling. Its performance on other surfaces was mixed; on dry pavement, it had the longest braking distance and was the loudest tire, yet it managed the third-fastest handling time. The tire's weakness was on snow, where it placed sixth, held back by poor results in the acceleration and braking tests.

Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.

The Lassa Competus Winter 2 test record consists of fourth place among seven tires in the 2025 Autozurnal winter test in 215/65 R17. The article identifies the tested version as Winter 2+, so its results should not automatically be assumed identical for the original model. Wet-road performance was the better part of that assessment: third in braking at 55.4 m, 5.7% longer than the best, and third in handling, 2.3% off the fastest lap. Straight aquaplaning was second, although curved aquaplaning was less competitive at fifth.

The dry-road picture was mixed: handling was third, only 0.8% slower than the best, but braking was last at 48.3 m, 7.6% longer than the shortest stop. Snow traction was also last, 7.4% behind the best, while snow braking was sixth, 6.1% longer. The testers singled out those snow limitations and the highest noise level, measured at 73.8 dB, against the favorable wet results. Snow handling was closer to the middle at fourth, 1.3% off the best, so snow weakness was concentrated in acceleration and stopping rather than every discipline. With only one test, there is no basis for judging how consistently this balance carries across sizes or conditions.
