Kleber Quadraxer Owner Reviews

Review this tire

What owners say summarised from 39 reviews

Drivers rate the Kleber Quadraxer very highly overall, praising it as a dependable all-season tire that excels in typical UK/European wet and winter conditions. The most consistent feedback highlights strong wet-weather confidence (good water evacuation/aquaplaning resistance) and impressive snow/slush/ice capability, often described as transformational versus summer tires. Many also report excellent longevity and good value, with comfort and noise generally seen as better than or comparable to previous tires. A smaller subset note softer, less precise handling/feedback in warm dry conditions (sometimes with a brief bedding-in period), meaning it is not viewed as a sporty, sharp-response tire.

I bought these tires out of desperation last winter when I could not find any winter tires available anywhere for love nor money. I had the tires fitted to the front axle for traction and from the outset I could feel a distinct difference between these and the previously fitted summer tires. During the first 200 miles or so of moderate driving the car felt stable and made steady progress in light snow covered roads, slush and ice. Once the snow and ice had disappeared the tires performed well in the wet and dry with good braking traction. They needed about 400 miles or so to bed in to provide what I would describe as a comfortable and positive drive and have performed well for the last 1500 miles on all road surfaces during the colder temperatures. My only disappointment has been their road handling and traction on wet roads while negotiating roundabouts for which reason I mark them down on progression and wet grip. The sidewall profile and flexibility of the tire leads to a rolling sensation and slight loss of traction in the steering. I would not use these tires all year and will look to fit summer tires now that the warmer weather is coming and for more spirited driving. As a last resort purchase during the winter they have served well and are highly recommended for sensible driving during cold weather snow and ice and I will happily refit them next winter to see me through the worst of the weather. Not enough miles done to assess their wear but they appear to be lasting well. As with all tires, the correct tire pressure is a must have to get the best out of these tires. Not the most aesthetically pleasing tire to look at with a plethora of information imprinted on the sidewall.

One word - Brilliant!

These Kleber Quadraxer's are made by Michelin and so you're getting excellent quality 'brand name' tires under a budget name at budget price!

I wanted tires to help in the snow/heavy rain/slush and these all season tires seemed to be the answer. They are a million times better in the wet than my old tires (Bravius), it feels like driving in the dry even when it's wet.

The tread is nice and chunky, so if (WHEN!) the snow arrives again, they should also give a bit more traction than before.

Overall these are excellent all-season tires for the price (£68 each at Event tires) and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I fitted a pair of these to my smart fortwo rear wheels only, unfortunately kleber doesnt make 175/55/R15 yet, but as soon as they do i will probably buy a pair. the tires worked just as good as my continental winter contacts fitted on my BMW, and perform just as good, quality grip in snow and ice and the cars DSC worked really well with the tires. the car was pretty much undriveable with summer tires fitted to the smart car in snowy conditions. a very good purchase for any rear wheel drive car.
