Head-to-head record
Overall finishing position against the tires that have most often shared a test with the Goodyear Vector All Season 4. Only tires tested alongside it at least three times are listed.
The Goodyear Vector All Season 4 has a strong all-round record, winning the 2026 Tire Reviews test and earning exemplary ratings in both Auto Bild tests. Snow traction is particularly consistent: it was first of 17 in the 2026 Auto Bild test and first of 14 in Auto Bild Allrad's SUV test, winter reference included. Snow handling is also a strength. In the 2026 Tire Reviews test it was second of 10 for both wet braking and wet handling, and the tester found it stable, communicative and easy to drive quickly. Dry handling and rolling resistance are generally strong too, Die Reifentester rated it best for dry handling and called it the most efficient standard all-season tire.
The exceptions are mainly in braking and standing water. Dry braking is respectable rather than leading, with fourth of 10 in the 2026 Tire Reviews test and seventh of 14 in the SUV test. Straight aquaplaning was seventh of nine in the 2026 Die Reifentester test, whose tester said it was floating earlier than most of the field. The fourth-place result of 17 in the 2026 Auto Bild test was unusually good by comparison. Snow braking is less consistent than traction, while projected tread life was mid-field in that Auto Bild test, adding to its running cost. Noise also varies: it was second of 10 in Tire Reviews but 11th of 17 in Auto Bild.

Aquaplaning resistance was its weak point: in the straight-line test it floated earlier than every all-season tire except the two budget models - 2026 Auto Bild Allrad SUV All Season Tire Test (2026)
The Goodyear Vector All Season 4 is the overall test winner and one of only three tires rated exemplary. It has no real weak area on snow, wet or dry roads, which is what separates it from the tires that won individual tests, and its only shortfall is middling tread life.
The Goodyear Vector All Season 4 is the overall test winner and one of three tires Auto Bild rated exemplary. It was strong on snow, in the wet and on dry roads, with its weaker results in aquaplaning and snow braking.
Tire Reviews · 225/40 R18 Tested by Tire ReviewsWinner
The Goodyear Vector All Season 4 wins this test through breadth rather than by topping every chart. It was second in wet braking and handling, best on the wet circle, second in curved aquaplaning and strong across all three snow tests. It was also quiet, efficient and one of the most convincing tires on the road. Straight aquaplaning was seventh and dry braking fourth, but neither gap was large enough to become a real weakness. More importantly, the Goodyear was repeatedly stable, communicative and easy to drive quickly. For drivers who want one all-season tire without a major seasonal compromise, this is the most complete option here.
Die Reifentester · 225/40 R18 sehr gut / Empfehlung (Very Good / Recommended)
The Goodyear Vector All Season 4 finished just behind the winner and is arguably the better rounded tire of the two. It is the pick if steering feel, efficiency and snow performance matter most, with the caveat that its aquaplaning reserves are the smallest of the leading group.

The Goodyear Vector All Season 4 is the new replacement for the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 and arrives as the strongest all-season tire in this comparison. On snow it leads the field, taking top spots in slalom, handling and traction, with only the Michelin beating it on braking. On wet roads it shows strong lateral grip, winning the wet circle and wet handling tests, and finishing second in wet braking behind the Michelin. Aquaplaning resistance is also good, with the third-best straight-line floating speed and second place behind the Pirelli on the curved aquaplaning test. On dry roads it sits second to the Continental in handling. Overall a very capable all-rounder with no real weak points.
