Tire Rack Ultra High Performance All-Season Tire Test P1 of 4

The Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season was the overall winner of this test on the BMW. As a newcomer to the category it beat the established benchmarks not by out-gripping them but by being the most rounded and pleasant to live with - excellent on the road, strong in the dry, and competent in the wet. The best choice here for a driver who wants real all-season ability without giving up everyday refinement.

Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season won the 2026 Tire Rack Ultra High Performance All-Season Tire Test, placing first of four through a combination of road refinement and dry handling. It led subjective comfort with 7.75 points and noise with 7.5, while the testers particularly liked its natural, well-weighted steering. The dry handling lap was quickest at 30.13 seconds, and the write-up described predictable responses and useful rotation when lifting off the throttle. These findings come from one comparison on a BMW in 235/40 R19.

The overall win did not reflect a clean sweep of grip measurements. Dry braking placed third of four at 33.955 meters, 1.5% longer than the best, and dry circle grip was also third, 1.1% below the leader. Wet braking ranked third at 40.965 meters, a 3.1% deficit, while wet handling was third and 1.6% slower than the quickest lap. Testers wanted more stopping power in the wet and found it too easy to run deep into braking zones, with slow recovery afterwards. Its strengths were therefore comfort, steering feel and accessible dry handling rather than the shortest stops or highest cornering grip; this comparison does not establish snow or ice performance.
