Performance Analysis
Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.
The Federal Formoza FD2 finished last of 17 in its only independent comparison, the 2014 ADAC summer tire test in 195/65 R15. ADAC described it as very weak on both wet and dry roads. The criticism therefore concerns both conditions, rather than a wet-weather shortfall alone.
Relatively low fuel consumption was the offsetting positive. There are no separate braking distances, handling results or efficiency figures to quantify those judgements further, and no test verdict on comfort, noise or tread life. This single comparison supports a poor overall grip assessment with a qualified efficiency benefit, rather than a claim of repeated performance across sizes or years.
