The Falken ZE912 finished near the bottom in both recorded 2011 tests, despite some refinement and dry-grip positives. It was ninth of ten in the 2011 Autobild Max Performance Summer Tire Test, in 225/40 R18, where low rolling resistance and very quiet running earned praise. Its more touring character was noted in that performance-focused field, but delayed steering, reduced lateral support and long wet braking distances were still clear limitations.
ADAC placed it 13th of 14 in the 2011 European Summer Tire Test, in 195/65 R15. Great dry grip was the positive, with wet weakness and poor wear counting against it. Both tests therefore raise wet-road concerns, while the specific criticisms vary: Auto Bild also found reduced ride comfort despite the quietness, and ADAC identified the wear limitation. No numerical discipline results, stopping distances or margins are recorded, and no award is listed. This narrow record supports quieter running more clearly than wet performance, precise responses or consistent longevity.
