The Davanti DX390 performed well in he aquaplaning tests and had slightly above average grip in the dry and wet, and it was also a comfortable tire. The handling nature of the tire was a safe understeer primary balance. It was the most expensive budget tire though and was out performed by the cheaper Tomket, Nankang and Winrun products.

The Davanti DX390 has shown relatively low noise and weak dry handling across two tests, with its overall placings needing the context of the fields. It finished fifth of nine in the 2023 Tire Reviews budget comparison, which included eight budget tires and one premium tire, and fifth of 15 in Auto Navigator's 2019 summer and all season test. Noise was second of nine in 2023 and sixth of 18 in 2019. Dry handling was eighth of nine in 2023, with a low subjective rating, and 14th of 18 in 2019. Wet braking was fourth of nine in 2023 but still 29% behind the best, and 11th of 18 in 2019, 16.1% behind.

The 2023 test found more to like in standing water and ride comfort: it was third in both aquaplaning tests and third for subjective comfort. The testers described slightly above average dry and wet grip within that comparison, with a safe understeer balance. However, it was the most expensive budget tire and cheaper Tomket, Nankang and Winrun tires finished ahead. Auto Navigator conditionally recommended it in 2019, while warning that production timing could affect whether a purchased tire behaved like the tested example.
