Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Continental UltraContact UC7 finished third of six in TopTireReview's 2023 APAC Tire Test in 225/45 R18. Dry-road performance was its clearest strength: it was fastest in dry handling and shared the highest subjective dry-handling position, while dry braking was second, only 0.2% behind the best. Straight aquaplaning was also first of six, giving it a stronger result in standing water than in the measured wet-grip disciplines.

Wet braking and handling were both fourth of six, 5.2% and 6.1% behind the best respectively, although its subjective wet-handling score was second. Comfort and rolling resistance were also fourth. Noise is less straightforward: the subjective score was best, but two noise measurements put it first and fifth without enough context to combine them into a single verdict. This one test supports dry handling and straight aquaplaning as strengths, with wet stopping, lap time and efficiency less competitive within the field. It does not establish consistency across sizes, long-term wear or a general promise of low measured noise.
