Sorry, silly of us not to include that information. 225/50 R17 on a BMW 320i Touring

According to my knowledge Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance and Dunlop Bluresponse are (almost) same tires. Only thread pattern is different where Dunlop is responding a bit faster and Goodyear has 0.6% better fuel economy.

Great result for Hankook if the price is as I'd expect it to be - quite a bit cheaper than the Pirelli. I purchased the Michelin Primacy 3's for our Mk2 Megane a while back (at a very good price) and so far very happy.

You might be surprised how expensive Hankook tires are now. They're almost "premium" money, but the quality reflects the performance

actually you're right. pal bought the Ventus V12's for his Seat Leon and they were silly money. Thing is I don't live in the UK and Bridgestones are way, way overpriced to the point of lunacy so you don't have much choice other than Hankook (or just buy a car with sensible sized alloys and be done with it, such as my wife's).

Paid like 80 GBP ea. for the Pirellis which I thought a complete bargain.

It seems Hankook has really increased the quality rapidly. I was surprised a while ago when I saw new VW cars on Hankook tires. Nowadays I think even some BMWs use them as OE.
But still, if I had to choose between Hankook tire and usual premium brand tire of the same quality and price I would go for premium brand. For me it just feels better to see Pirelli on my car :)
