Winter is coming, are you ready? Here's a video showing the difference between winter and summer tires on an indoor ski slope.
Both cars are identical, other than the fact one car is running on the summer tire Dunlop Fast Response, and the other the winter tire Dunlop Winter Sport 4D.
Summer tires aren't designed to perform in the snow, that's why tire manufacturers developed winter tires. Any summer tire that excels in the snow will offer poor performance in warmer conditions....but in reality this would never happen anyway. The movie of the Peugeot is nothing to do with the tires and everything to do with the vehicle.
I had Dunlop summer tires on my Mazda and they were hopeless in the snow. Good summer tires on snow are Michelin Latitude Tour HP as seen on this ski slope on a peugeot.http://www.youtube.com/watch?featu...
