The Wanli E01 tire was launched in 2025, and a minor redesign was introduced in 2026 to enhance its wear resistance. Therefore, I purchased it at the recommended retail price through the brand's official sales channel. It may have some manufacturer-related issues or be the original XL structure model, not the upgraded HL structure version.
I switched the Dunlop RS to the rear wheels and the Wanli E01 to the front wheels. My car is a Lynk & Co 06 with front-wheel drive. I've driven it for nearly 1,000 kilometers, mostly for high-speed inter-city commuting. Overall, the noise insulation is better than that of the Michelin Hoya 5 and Yokohama V553 I've used before. This might be due to the sound-absorbing cotton technology. The steering feel of these tires is very comfortable, with moderate pressure and linearity. The steering feels much more natural and even compared to the Hoya 5.
In terms of grip, it is slightly weaker than the Michelin Hymet 5 and V553 on dry roads, but the difference is not significant. On wet roads, there is no discernible difference. It exhibits a bit more delay in acceleration and braking response compared to the other two. However, its lateral grip performance in corners is excellent and more composed.
In terms of vibration damping performance, it is not as soft as Michelin tires, nor as hard and rigid as the V553. It has a certain degree of elasticity and provides overall comfort.
Overall, as a low-rolling-resistance EV tire, I think it can also be used in gasoline-powered cars, offering excellent comfort. It's a great companion for long-distance travel, but it's not suitable for aggressive driving, since its very name indicates it is oriented toward comfort and energy efficiency.
