The Laufenn I Fit Ice finished 16th of 17 in the 2020 Consumer Reports North America winter test in 215/60 R16. Testers nevertheless praised impressive snow traction and stopping grip on icy roads, identifying useful winter-surface ability despite the low overall placing.
The main reservation was long wet stopping distances, alongside fairly high noise and only fair rolling resistance. There are no individual distances or discipline rankings to quantify those differences. This one test supports a snow-and-ice emphasis with wet-braking and refinement compromises, rather than a conclusion about consistently poor performance in every condition.
