Performance Analysis

Drawn from 2 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.

The Kumho Ecsta V730 has shown useful circuit grip but steering feedback below the best in both track tests. It finished fourth of 11 in the 2022 Tire Rack Extreme Performance Track Tire Test, with a 107.02-second dry lap, 1% behind the best. The testers singled out strong front-end grip, braking feel and mid-corner traction, with urgent turn-in. Even so, steering remained a small step behind the leading tires, so its good placing did not remove that qualification.

The 2021 Tire Reviews Track Day 200TW Tire Test was less favorable, sixth of eight with an 89.8-second lap, 2.1% behind the best. It praised heat management and a rounded grip circle, but linked inconsistent lap times to limited steering response and feedback. Tire Rack also found it less comfortable than some rivals when braking and turning together, a comment about combined cornering loads rather than ride comfort. Its pace therefore varies between comparisons, with promising grip in the larger 2022 field and repeated reservations about how clearly it communicates. These tests do not establish wet-road behavior.
