2 tests, 2016 to 2017
Performance Analysis
Drawn from 2 tests. Updated November 3, 2026.
The Hankook Dynapro HP2 finished towards the back of the field in both summer SUV tests, placing 11th of 15 in the 2017 ADAC test and 5th of 6 in the 2016 Off Road test. Noise was its most consistent positive: ADAC called it quiet and Off Road also noted low noise. The latter nevertheless gave it a Recommended verdict, despite its low overall placing. The results suggest a tire with some useful individual qualities, but not a consistently competitive all-round performance.
The wet-weather verdicts differed. Off Road praised its short wet braking distances in 2016, while ADAC described it as weak in the wet in 2017, without specifying a braking result. Off Road also reported poor aquaplaning resistance and the worst dry braking in its six-tire field. Fuel consumption was another unusual contrast: ADAC praised relatively low consumption in 2017, whereas Off Road reported high rolling resistance in 2016. Neither test gives a numerical margin for these individual results, so the size of the differences is unclear.
