2026 ADAC Summer Tire Test P13 of 16

The Chinese Greentrac Quest-X receives a conditional recommendation. The summary criticises its wet-road performance: wet braking is the worst in the test, and aquaplaning behavior and handling are only fair. Dry-road feedback and precision are also not very good due to an elastic rear axle, though braking is good. Environmental performance is fair because of moderate mileage, slightly high abrasion and high weight, although fuel consumption is low. Strengths include short dry braking, good cross-aquaplaning and low fuel consumption, while weaknesses comprise deficits in dry handling, wet performance and moderate mileage with slightly high abrasion.

Strong: Curved Aquaplaning Weak: Wet Braking, Wet Braking - Concrete Winner: Continental PremiumContact 7

Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.

The Greentrac Quest X finished 13th of 16 with a conditional recommendation in ADAC's 2026 summer test. Its clearest strength was curved aquaplaning resistance, sharing first place, but straight aquaplaning was only 11th, 5% behind the best. That standing-water result does not extend to wet stopping: it was last on both asphalt and concrete, with distances of 37.9 m and 44.5 m, respectively 25.9% and 37.8% longer than the best. Wet handling was described as only fair.

Dry-road precision was another limitation, with an elastic rear-axle feel reducing feedback and accuracy. Dry braking was 11th of 16, 6.8% longer than the best, so the overall verdict's praise for short stops is unusually favorable beside the placing and the separate description of mid-field braking. Projected life and abrasion were both ninth of 16, at 38,200 km and 83 mg/km/t, so neither is an outstanding advantage. Fuel-use praise also needs qualification: consumption was 12th of 16, 5.6% above the best, an unusual mismatch with the low-consumption wording. The tire was also relatively heavy. This single test supports good aquaplaning resistance in bends, but identifies substantial wet-braking and steering compromises.
