Performance Analysis

Drawn from 2 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.

The Goodride RP28 finishes near the back in both summer tests, with braking and handling the main weaknesses in the detailed 2020 assessment. It was 12th of 12 overall in the 2020 Tire Reviews Ultimate Summer Tire Test and 45th of 51 in the 2018 Auto Bild braking overview. In 2020 it was last in wet braking at 45.8 m, 28.3% longer than the best, and last in dry braking at 37.5 m, a 9.6% gap. Wet handling was also last, 9.9% slower than the best, while dry handling was last with a smaller 2.8% gap. Straight-line aquaplaning resistance was another last place.

Comfort was a relative positive rather than a leading result: the 2020 testers called it reasonable, with eighth place in the subjective assessment. Rolling resistance was seventh of 12 and described as average. The low purchase price did not persuade the testers, who said it remained well behind the tire in 11th place without being much cheaper, and awarded Not Recommended. Those results came against a predominantly stronger field, so they do not establish its position among budget tires alone. The 2018 overview has no separate discipline results here, limiting comparison with the more detailed later test.
