HT vs AT vs MT Tires Tested: What's the Best Type of Tire for Your SUV or Pickup?

Tire Reviews 265/70 R17 Tested by Tire Reviews

The Grabber ATx finished third. Off road it was excellent, fastest on dirt and close to the mud terrain on gravel, and it gave me the confidence to place the truck exactly where I wanted it. On the road it paid for that with the longest wet braking, the weakest aquaplaning and a small drop in comfort, although it was still quiet in a straight line. If your driving is closer to a 50/50 split and includes some more serious off-roading, an aggressive all terrain like this is the right choice.
