Best Tires for the Honda CB600FA Hornet

Got them oem on my hornet 750, been using them for 2 year all 4 seasons and 27500kms and theyre now in their last leg

Been using 32/36 psi

Without tcs i can redline up to 3rd gear on my city roads which tarmac is terrible. When im on good tarmac tcs light comes on rarely.
Excellent on the wet never scared me.
Cornering wise it doesnt scare probably can drag a knee but you don't get much feedback but its stable.

If you're doing long rides definetly get them as life is excellent and cornering is maybe %85-90 good as lets say a power 5-6 or rosso 4s

Super gripy tire in dry, hot conditions. In colder weather they take a while to warm up. In wet conditions they are awful. Had a few unpleasant slides of front tire when it was worn out on the edge (

Have bought a Hornet CB600FA with ABS having these Metzeler Racetecs which were close to their end. Really unpleasantly surprised by their lack of feedback and by how quick would they lose grip even in mild reactions. Take into account that the Hornet is a very docile bike and even so, I could feel how they were easily snapping into slides, especially in the chillier autumn mornings. Had these replaced immediately. Dunno about their early or mid-life behavior, but at their end of life they become really unpredictable.

Upgraded the factory BT 016 with these BT 023 tires on my 2010 Hornet and I have been blown by the improvement and great feedback. Indeed some amazing choice.

Since i bought my cb600 Hornet 2012 it was fitted with those heavy tire, I did change it at 18000 (1500 after i bought the bike) central of the tire was almost flat but still a lot on left and right side, Im going to change it again after almost a year know and 32000ml on a clock, not bad 14000miles with it but still the same problem both sides still very good and central flat, due of taking the motorway every day but still going for the same I'm quiet happy with those

I live in New Zealand and its hard to find a set of tires here for less than $400 but i happened upon these maxxis m6029 tires for my bike for only $120 for the rear tire and $100 for the front. Scrubbed them in on a 30km ride on my fav twisty road right to the very edge and i have to say these tires are awesome. Not a hit of slip ( road was bone dry 25deg temps)and i was really moving. They felt good under me with a very secure feeling, but new tires always do compared to the stuffed old ones. They replaced some Pilot power 2ct tires and i kid you not these are better and less than half the price for the set. I ride hard 90% of the time and hardly ever take the main highway , always the back roads and right away these tires felt right at home on my bike in fact they felt so good i rushed out and brought a second set for when i wornout these ones. would i recommend these .... hell yeah go get your self a set and try em for ya self..... there as good as any road tire iv'e ever used and iv'e tryed them all , i own 5 bikes (All sport bikes) and im in my mid 50's but dont think for a second im slow..... excellent tires and after trying them even if they were the same price as the expensive tires i'd still buy them.... Im off for a ride catch me if you can...hehehe

I haven't been riding for many years but when I bought my brand new Hornet these came fitted as standard.
Initially with a new bike I was cautious, but even so, and perhaps it was my own inexperience but within 100 miles I had touched the deck. Luckily the bike came out fairly unscaved.
Since then the tires have been fairly satisfactory, only loosing grip a couple of times in the wet, but quickly recovered. At 4000miles they are now down on the min wear marker.
I won't be buying these again, the feedback isn't great. In the dry they do grip well and you can really get your knee down, but they're really only a standard road tire and I would have liked them to have done another 1000 miles.
