Renault 12 (195/50 R16 V) on mostly town for 5,000 average miles
Needed some tires to get through an MOT in a hurry, the garage had these in stock and they came recommended. Was shocked to discover just how inferior they are compared to the badly worn Barum Bravuris 3HM's that were fitted previously. In dry conditions, they are OK, just noisy at motorway speeds. But it is in wet conditions that these tires truly let themselves down. Traversing a roundabout in even in the most lightly moist of conditions is akin to sliding across an ice rink, (unless driving at funeral procession speeds is your thing), and don't even think about pulling away briskly at a junction, unless you want to induce instantaneous wheel spin. Even giving it the beans in third or fourth will have these tires squabbling for grip on a damp road. In recent years, I've had vastly superior tires than these for the money, in fact, these are on par, if not worse than the budget specials I once bought when I was a broke student. Never again for me.

Given 81% while driving a SEAT ALhambra TDi (215/55 R16 H) on a combination of roads for 13,000 average miles
My Sest Alhambra uses front tires every 10,000 miles, whether they are cheap or premium tires. I was pleasantly surprised that the cheap Landsail lasted 13,000. They have handled fine in all kinds of weather. I haven't seen any ditches in the last year, so don't believe the negative reviews. Fuel economy is just as good as with all previous tire brands I've tried. So ... I've just put another pair on the front.

Given 74% while driving a Honda Civic Type R (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 250 spirited miles
These were fitted to my Type R when I bought it and I fully expected to be fighting for grip, but I have been pleasantly surprised to find that they are actually quite good, plenty up to the task of my daily B Road bast to work. Even more surprising was how little tramlining there was even in such a large size, so little it is barely noticeable. They are still quite new so I can't speak for longevity or how well they might perform when worn but so far, I'd happily buy again.

Given 36% while driving a Fiat doblo (175/70 R14 T) on a combination of roads for 8,000 easy going miles
not bad for the money paid £77 for two fronts fitted a year ago. only done 8k and they're being replaced with Avons / Firestones. We've done over 200k in this model of Doblo in 13 years. There aren't that many XL brands to fit and these cars are heavy on front tires. todays trip was nearly 63mpg. we've been averaging around 53mpg on Landsil. yes i'd recommend if you need to save pennies. we didn't and i'd rather fuel economy as this is a second car in a low use rural family. runs are either 25 mile or 100 mile round trips. plus maybe four 500 mile round trips a year. was so desperate to have new fitted before the promised snow we took in stock GT Radial City FE1. they initially appear very quiet in comparison to the last year. handle well for braking and initially show 10mpg better. I know this will drop off and will review again when they're end of life! actually enjoyed driving the shed again today as the steering is much less heavy

MINI (195/55 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 1,500 spirited miles
Had a pair fitted two weeks . Back. Basically because of price. The tire is OK . But I found the side wall had to much movement if you pushing along . Made the rear quite unsettled. I'm no racer . But even at 50mph in a bend in the dry the car was not planted as it was before . I'm going to put them on the front because it's quite nervous as it is .

Given 80% while driving a SEAT Leon 2.0 TFSI (225/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 300 spirited miles
I bought these tires for my Seat Leon FR 2.0 tfsi to replace Pirelli summer tires on the front. I did a lot of research first and would have preferred to have a higher end brand but money is tight so went for these at £84 the pair delivered, from eBay. I have to say I'm extremely impressed! These tires are barely different from the Pirellis they replaced. They are sturdy to drive on even in this low profile size, not 'squishy' at all. They grip incredibly well in both wet and dry, I was concerned that I might lose some of the handling ability and would have to drive more carefully but I have not had to alter my style at all. I can continue to throw the car about as it was designed for! They cope well on country lanes, town roads and motorways. After having them fitted I attempted to wheel spin off some traffic lights and the tires did not want to; spinning slightly but easily finding grip and pulling away despite not being worn in yet. Also performed an emergency stop test which was to my satisfaction. For the money these are exceptionally good and well above my expectations. The only time they really lose grip is when I brake hard on a poorly positioned manhole cover on my road in the wet, which sometimes causes my ABS to kick in. An ideal all round budget tire.

Mercedes Benz A (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 500 spirited miles
Garage recommendation for my Mercedes A150. I do a lot of motorway driving and these tires were absolutely terrible. Car felt unresponsive and wobbly. After a month I have had enough. Replaced today with Pirelli’s which feel so much safer.

Given 87% while driving a Renault Modus 1.5Dci Authentique (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,000 average miles
Just a short Review, i bought these Landsail 388 after reading reports, i was fed up with paying in excess of £100 per tire to find they felt second rate, not The premium tires i had expected, so back to the Landsails, i checked out their website, done my homework and bought a set...... Wonderfull they feel like a premium tire, great feel, good grip, only done 2000 miles but still look as new,, will definitely be buying these again.

Given 87% while driving a Citroën C4 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,000 spirited miles
Had a pair of thesse fitted to the front of the car first having been thru the various better known makes all too soft and short lived i have done about 2000 miles since they were fitted and am happy with them i have now had them on the rear as well they do give up a little in the damp BUT that is me pushing the curve AND the car needs the antiroll bar stiffening up as it tends to lift a corner that will be solved shortly .

Overall Pleased with them .

Ford (225/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
Simply put these tires are awful. Will never buy these again for my car. Have no confidence in these tires in the wet and make driving on wet days a very nervous experience.
They are okay-ish in the dry and are not that noisy.
I am glad the front tires have worn down sufficiently enough to warrant changing them, can't wait to get them off!!!

Given 86% while driving a Vauxhall Astra 2.0 cdti vx line (225/50 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 2,000 average miles
I'm not usually one to buy budget tires. I wanted to match the other 2 XL tires that were already on my car when I bought it. So I went for two of these & put them on the front. They've been great. Very good grip in the wet, as good as continentals, in my opinion. Never seem to let go in the wet. I'd give them a good score in dry conditions, perhaps not quite as good as premium brand tire, really not far off. Acceptable grip levels in dry & wet conditions, for a performance car. Not at all disappointed, as they were half the price of a premium tire. I've not tried them for winter use yet., so cant comment there. If they're half as good in snow, as they're are in the wet. I'd be happy. I certainly wont just pay for the name/brand anymore. Would I buy these again? Yes I would. These have definitely improved from the older budget tire days.

Given 87% while driving a Vauxhall Corsa vxr (225/40 R18 W) on mostly motorways for 200 easy going miles
On a standard VXR corsa these are more than capable of normal driving conditions in wet and dry. Not recommended for those who drive it like they stole it but ideal for those who drive it like they own it. Higher profile has the added comfort and perfect for everyday use.
