Given 94% while driving a Lexus IS 220D (225/45 R18) on mostly country roads for 45,000 spirited miles
So I initially got these tires for a 2nd gen Lexus IS - rolled with them around slowly at the start, then after 1 or 2 months of daily driving i decided to see how it would fair in the curves. I have the XL variant and i can say they're TOUGH. Thrashed on them quite a bit with minimal wear totalling around 30 000 kms, after the which that car died and i put the rims on a 2014 VW polo and oh boy they are amazing for hot hatches, be it hairpin turns, mountain roads or urban driving. Will definitely buy again.

Given 83% while driving a Mazda Mazda 3 (2018 5D) (225/45 R18) on mostly motorways for 53,000 spirited miles
Not gonna comment on the performance as the tires were build for it. Amazed with the wear rate of the tire. Able to clock 85k KM before feeling uncomfortable with inner tire wear (rear torsion beam). However still can drive spiritedly in heavy rain but poorly in aqua planning. Up to 60k tread depth were as good new same goes with the performance. The tire started to feel less comfortable after 70k KM, higher road noise and harsh ride. Changed to MC7 “on paper better than PS5”, regretted not choosing another set of PS5 due to the lack of road feedback.

Given 53% while driving a BMW M4 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 3,500 average miles
bought for M4 f82,nowhere near as good as the continental sport contact 7,in every way.turn in is poorer, grip is poorer and wet grip again nowhere near the conti.only upside is wear factor and they look prettier.,cannot wait till these wear down and stick some conti back on,save ya cash if you have 400-550 bhp and get the conti, they are well cheaper.ok they wear faster but id rather them wear faster than towing my car out a ditch,275-35-19 and 255-35-19

Given 84% while driving a BMW 320d touring (235/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
I've been using those tires on my BMW 320d Touring for a year now. Road noise is slightly louder than with the old tires, however those haven't been UHP tires. Overall I am very satisfied. They have a lot of grip both in dry and wet conditions. Autobahn rides with 200km/h+ feel safe and stable. Hunting corners on country roads is a lot of fun too. I don't drive on race tracks though and I am lacking the expertise to evaluate the performance at the absolute limit.
I think the Pilot Sport 5 are excellent for spirited everyday driving.

Given 96% while driving a Lexus IS300 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 30 spirited miles
Very happy with the PS5's. Longer wearing than the PS4's. Grip much the same but I do not push the car as hard as I used to. Much better than the original Bridgestones that I threw away after 20000km as they were dangerous at speed in the wet.

Given 94% while driving a Audi TT RS (255/35 R19) on mostly country roads for 1,000 spirited miles
These tires are amazing, they combine road comfort and high performance. The sidewall is a little softer than I would like, but increasing tire pressure to 40 psi mostly negates this. The grip is incredible, so predictable and consistent, dry or wet, it just hooks onto the road and doesnt let go. The grip gets even better when the tires heat up. Car feels very stable under braking and hard acceleration. Definitely a good choice for a high performance car that doesnt really go on the race track much, great for normal roads. 10/10 would get a speeding ticket again.

Given 97% while driving a Honda Accord (225/50 R17) on a combination of roads for 3,000 spirited miles
Here comes a review for Asian market which specifically for Malaysia end-users.
Hands down the best tire that you can have. Besides from the price, everything was top notch and deliver one of the highest performance which for me is the best so far. Been fitted the tire for my 2015 Honda Accord 2.0 T2A, which I used Primacy 4 previously.

In conclusion, simply exceptionally good in both dry and wet conditions. With a really fast response to the steering wheel, great road feedback, very predictable and a really good handling overall. The tires just reached their 5000km milestone after just 6 weeks of installing. For a very spirited driving style and covering to almost all mix type of roads - consist of highways, urban/city, regional and old roads, I've been very satisfied with the tires that meet my needs as a sale engineer which need me to travel a lot to meet clients in different states and basically had the car as my 2nd home.

Right from the start, I definitely can feel the difference compared to the previous set. The tires response really well to the acceleration/gas pedal and braking. It does give me confidence to go through the roads really fast and trust it's braking power. From hitting 140km/h on average daily driving and up to 220-230km/h if the situation allow, the tires help me to swift between cars and deliver predictable + solid cornering at highspeed. Both in dry and wet conditions.

Stunning sidewall, high grip, low noise and I also noticed that it has a good treadwear/longetivity that compliment well with my high speed driving style and lots of deep braking. The tread still looks like new and significantly less wear on the surface. Coming from other brand of tire sales engineer that specifically target TBR (Truck Bus Radial) and LT (Light Truck), this review isn't a biased opinion but rather an honest one which Michelin Pilot Sport 5 did exceed all my expectations and overall improve/gave a whole new driving experience. A really worthy value for the money spent. Very recommended.

Given 94% while driving a MG ZT 135 CDTi (225/45 R18) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
Simply said, amazing tires. With this car I’ve already made over 180.000 miles mainly on highways and country roads, 60% on summer tires and 40% on winter tires. Tried many different tire brands and models but PS5 are simply the best you can get. My driving style is usually “efficient” which means I don’t necessarily have to fly at illegal speeds on highways but like to enjoy corners at country roads where I don’t want to lose my speed, and that’s where you appreciate good grip and handling. The PS5 are absolutely incredible on the wet, you can easily and safely go on highways at speed limit even in heavy rain and that’s where you notice the difference from other tires, too. The only discipline where it is not the best is the race track, on a track day they are not as good as PS4, but for public traffic they are perfect.

Given 93% while driving a Mercedes Benz C250 CDI Blutec (225/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 13,000 spirited miles
Two sets later, first one on 225/45r17 which i drove for about 6-7000 kilometers before selling those wheels, and now on my 18 inch combo of 225/40r18 and 255/35r18 which I did around 22-23.000km to this point... Man I love this tire... Such combination of comfort, sportiness and performance is honestly hard to match... At this mileage front tires are at only 50% of legal depth tread, and rear ones surely have over 65% left to them, and I drive rather hard. I find this apsolutely mind-blowing tread life for UHP tires... Will buy again, and again, and again, until they come with PS6

Given 83% while driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI MK7 (225/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
Pretty good dry grip, even better wet grip. Wear is reasonable considerigng it's an UHP terry, but it is expected from Michelin anyhow. I've been using PS4 earlier which I found a bit better than these PS5. There is an annoying noise at about 100 km/h. At the end of the day I like these tires. I am using them for the 2nd season.
(On my other car I am using Falken Azenis FK520, and those are not much inferior to these Michelins.)

Given 87% while driving a Peugeot RCZ GT 156THP (235/45 R19) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
Only done 1000 miles but these new Michelin sport 5s are very good and a noticeable improvement on the 4s.
They handle well, no notice able uneven wear pattern as yet.
They are quiet too.
And pot holes seem less jarring, more adsorption from the rubber compound?

Given 85% while driving a BMW 325i (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 1,500 spirited miles
Very impressed with the dry grip, didn't think you could have such grip without going to a semi slick, this is worlds ahead of other premium tires I have felt. (looking at you pzero and pilot super sport, although on very different cars, which were not mine) They also do not compromise on wet grip, even on the ancient chassis of the e36, it felt perfectly safe to drive in a downpour with standing water. They're also still comfortable and quiet which is not always a given with performance tires.
