205/60 R17 Tire Review Highlights
Writing about the Bridgestone Turanza T005A
rated 83%
I’ve been using the Turanza T005A since day one — they came stock with the car. After about 80,000 km and four and a half years, there’s still roughly 20% tread left. I rotate the tires every 10k km, so that probably helped, but still… the longevity is pretty impressive.
I don’t really push the tires to their limit, but I definitely take corners faster than the average driver because I enjoy it. The T005A holds up well and I always feel in control. Dry grip is solid with nothing to complain about. Wet grip is decent too, though you can feel a bit of aquaplaning when hitting bigger puddles.
Overall, great tire life, good comfort, and reliable performance — just not the sportiest or the grippiest in heavy rain.
For the average driver, it’s pretty much the best bang for the buck. I mean… who’s really pushing an ordinary SUV like a sports car anyway?

Writing about the Sailun Ice Blazer WST3
rated 66%
I bought these as Canadian Tire branded "Certified WinterTrek" (exact same tire made by sailun as the WST3). Overall they are fine tires in the dry and wet, but they are almost as bad as typical all-seasons in the snow/ice. The tread compound is just too hard. I'm sure they will wear well given the stiff tread, but I was hoping for better winter grip. I didn't get them studded.
I didn't even bother putting these on in the winter the past couple of years since the small increase in winter performance over my all-seasons is not worth the effort of changing tires.
Do yourself a favor - if you are not getting them studded (or like me, studs are illegal where you live), don't bother buying them. Search for real winter traction elsewhere.

Writing about the Cooper Zeon 2XS

really good on dry pavement handles very well on dry, wet pavement isnt the best its not terrible when its just sprinkling but when its anything over that they pretty much turn into slicks it feels like. it gets me from point a to point b and i dont drive my car in rain or snow so i would definitely buy them again.

Too noisy like wheel bearings gone bad. Poor steering response at corners.

After 33k miles chaneged the fronts about 3 mm left, on a trafic lwb 125bhp.
Excellent wear, they do tear a bit around the edges. Replaced with the same as they last sooo long, got a deal £210 a pair fitted. rears will be up for about 45k easily.

Writing about the Nokian WR D4
rated 60%
This is my second review on these tires. Although it is most important how well do they handle snow (and they are not so bad on snow) the wear is terrible. Huge chunks are falling off after just two winters. Mileage I did was low. As long as they are turning you feel secure on snow, but as soon as you lock them (even when you actually completely stopped on a incline!), they slide out of control. Twice there was real drama as they couldn't cope with small incline.
Mine were made in Russia. Took them back to seller, hoping that warranty covers excessive rubber tear.

This tire can perform well in perfect conditions. Warm dry weather, on a smooth linear surface. Sadly this is not a reality on our roads. Skitty grip over bumps. Embarrassing wheel spin from nowhere and unpredictable wet weather grip. This tire is not designed for the street performance keep it on the track

Writing about the Yokohama C Drive

I am using these tires for the last 22000+ miles. Used them 75% in dry and 25% rain conditions an a very large variety of roads. Also used them in snow. I am very satisfied with it's overall performance and it's outstanding wear capabilities. They seem they have another 15000 miles to go easily. Excellent grip in dry roads. I generally drive in a sporty way. Can do 60 mph on a wet curvy road easily. Definately a Buy again tire.

I live in the hill country I do 500miles every week from which 90% country driving. Most of the tires I had all made a squealing noise in the corners.. and there are a lot of corners here in the hills.. These tires I only heard them ones.. Not sure what that means. But I like it..
However!!! Not sure what I did wrong but the just vanished real quick.. I mean I did only 19K miles. and I have about 3/4mm left Before they become illegal to drive.. I paid $900 including fitting balancing and alignment.. Pretty heavy if I have to get new tires every 6 months Bummer..
Not sure if I buy them again, would have if I was a billionaire,.... unfortunately thats not the case.
Having said that i do the the occasional off road.. Nothing to serious just lose gravel.. That might have killed them? off?..
